I seem to recall a mission by Christine that had an objective concerning Dewdrop.

I don't have any objectives related to DewDrop in my current mission, but I did add a special dolly that can serve a purpose. Functional tool or companion .. you decide!
As far as your original question, I think most authors consider a cameo appearance by DewDrop is purpose enough for the little toy. She serves as a brief reminder of our first time playing through the OMs.
Unfortunately, I can't think of any missions with a good DewDrop-related objective that has not yet been mentioned.

Not exactly a mission involving dewdrop, but most fm builders as I've found like to give drunk guys the dolly to hold in their hand as the wave it around standing in front of a fire... Otherwise, an appearance from dewdrop is almost always expected. At least to me, anyway...

There was a lovely mission where you take a blue dewdrop with you on an adventure. Later it fulfilles a plot. (Keeper of the prophecies) But in the original series I think there was no one who didn't try to throw dewdrop at the mechs, finding a way to have her explode, throw her out of the level, etc... Maybe some extraordinairy taffer can create a doll that acually does something. Like this one:

Chucky is the cliffhanger for Dewdrop. Do I say this right?! Nice picture of Chucky! Yes sometimes Dewdrops are put in an FM, just to please me and I'm very proud of that . Sometimes Taffers go way beyond "stuff" to make me happy and I'm enjoying that great time. I find each Dewdrop I find a special gift, so call me a sentimental type of person and I will tell you immediatelly: That's true. SO thanks to all Taffers who are making FM's where a Dewdrop dolly is somewhere to be found, needed for anything, or nothing, just for the keep. I charish them all!!! Gloria Creep.
