Is it just me, or has TTLG, The Circle, and so on vanished again? I'm getting no ping responses, and traceroutes seem to be falling into a black hole on the far side of *.cust.gw.epoch.net

Did I miss a scheduled downtime annoucement, or has the server just fallen over?

It looks that way--and there was a thread over in the Eidos Thief forum as well.

I tried to get on around 3pm (my time) yesterday, and had no luck.

...didn't hear an earth-shattering kaboom (wonder what's up).

It appears to back up and running again.

Yep, still down. No word about it either.

And it looks like it's been down again for the last 16 hours or more...

This is frankly getting more than a little worrying

I emailed Digi to find out what's going on. Even he and David don't know at the moment. I'm sure they'll update us when they find out or even better, the forums will just show up again!

The forum is still down but reading through the Eidos ttlg.com down thread some people were suggesting a multi-leveled paid membership from free but fairly limited to full membership

Commercial hosts are costly so donations could work if enough people chip in or not

Also the membership list on the ttgg forum has anybody noticed any 0 post accounts or inactive non posting members as thats need to be cleaned up at sometime when the admin gets back

I remember MsLedd replying to a similar query once, to the effect that there are certain criteria for deciding whether a member is still active or not - and then emails are sent etc. But again, this doesn't seem to be effective as my bloke set up an account once but never posted and hasn't used it in years - but also never got an email about his status.

But 0 posts as a deciding factor doesn't really work as you need to be a member to use the search function.
